Steve Conley has lived in West Texas his entire life. He graduated from   Ft. Stockton High School and moved to Abilene in the fall of 1972 to attend Abilene Christian University where he graduated in 1975 with a degree in Accounting and Business. While attending ACU, Steve met his wife, Kim and they were married in 1974. He spent three years at a local public accounting firm after graduation and then worked in the oil and gas industry. He then moved his primary interest to real estate, construction and development.  They have four wonderful daughters and four great son-in-laws. They have been blessed with 13 grandchildren and several foster grandchildren who are the highlight of their lives. 

Steve built his first house in Abilene in 1981 in Lytle Estates. He has owned numerous businesses that he started or purchased through the years. He continued to build homes during this time as an entrepreneur. Because of his passion for the building industry and working with families to build their dream home, Steve made the decision over 25 years ago to devote 100% of his time to his construction business using the name, Quality Homes of Abilene. Steve has constructed almost 100 homes since he started building full time. Steve’s passion for detail from start to finish and his desire to see the customer receive the utmost attention they deserve in building their home is what makes him a caring home builder. He personally walks with his customer from the time their plans are being drawn until they take their first step into their new home. Steve has always provided many upgrades in his homes with regard to the workmanship, appliances, flooring and countertops. Steve is active building here in Abilene and the surrounding Big Country area.

Steve has been a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ since 1974 and has served as a deacon for the past 30 years. His devotion to God, family and his fellow man are his life goals. He carries this same devotion while partnering with his customers. Life is about helping those you come in contact with whether it’s building a house or helping those who are less fortunate.
